Burr Cup No 411 1.4mm

Description

This 1.4mm cup burr, made from steel, features multiple teeth mounted on a 2.34mm shank. Designed to smooth wire ends, such as ear posts and ear wires, it is also useful in the final stages of claw stone setting to round prongs.

A cup burr is used in jewellery stone setting for :

• Rounding Prongs in Claw Settings : Smooths and rounds the tips of prongs for a polished, professional finish.
• Refining Bead Settings : Shapes and smooths small beads that hold stones in place.
• Finishing Wire Ends : Rounds and smooths ear wires, jump rings, and other exposed wire ends to prevent sharp edges.

Its cup-shaped design allows for precise finishing, ensuring secure and polished settings.

Suitable for metal, wax, and plastic, it works with a pendant drill, hobby drill, or micromotor. The shank fits into a drill collet or chuck, with material removal depending on pressure applied.

Use of ‘Burr Life lubricant’ () helps to prolong the burs’ cutting ability.

Please note : Remember to have your motor set going clockwise to make the burr last even longer.
