Description

This Round Wooden Bangle Mandrel has been precision turned to provide an ideal surface for shaping and forming a variety of materials.

Made from hardwood, this smooth mandrel allows you to create perfectly rounded surfaces, making it suitable for hoop earrings, bangles, bracelets, and pendants when used with a mallet or through wire wrapping.

It is effective for forming soft metals such as silver, gold, brass, copper, and aluminium, and it can also be useful when working with thermoplastics like acrylic.

To use, secure the mandrel in a vice or hold it steady between the workbench and your body before shaping your bangle with a hammer or mallet. Take care to keep the surfaces clean, as marks can be transferred to the formed metal or plastic.

Please note that, due to the nature of the material, this mandrel may mark if struck with force using a steel hammer or nylon mallet.

It is advisable to use a softer mallet, such as Rawhide (), to avoid damaging the surface.
