Triblets, or ring mandrels, are essential and versatile tools for jewellery making.

This round profile triblet has a working length of 228mm (9″), with a total length of 300mm (11.8″) including handle. It is marked along the blade with ring sizes A-Z + 6. This triblet has a diameter of 10mm at the thinnest point of the blade, and a diameter of 25mm at the widest point.

Used for forming or re-shaping metal, marked triblets are particularly useful when sizing rings. They can be used to form a ring or a circular bezel to a specific size, to re-size an existing ring, or to correct the shape of a misshapen ring.

This marked, solid triblet is made from steel, and should be kept clean and polished to avoid any marks which may be transferred onto the surface of your metal.

Care should also be taken when using marked triblets, as the size markings can mark the surface of your metal. The triblet can be hand held or secured by the handle into a bench vice.

Securing at any other point will mark or damage the surface of the triblet and transfer onto the surface of your metal.
