The H+M Compact Electroplating Unit is designed for plating precious metals such as gold, rhodium, and silver. The process involves three key stages: degreasing, acid dipping, and submerging in your selected plating solution. (Some solutions may require an additional step for optimal results).

Please note your jewellery items should be thoroughly cleaned beforehand and must be rinsed between each step of the process.

The unit includes:

• Cover hood
• 4 x 1.5-litre containers
• 2 x cathode rod movement
• Thermostatic control unit(0-80°C)
• Residual ripple < 0.5%
• 10V/10A Rectifier with LCD display
• Plastic thermometer holder

Please note anodes are not included with this unit and are necessary to complete the electroplating process.

Certain solutions may need to be heated above room temperature, requiring an immersion heater ().

During the plating process, the metal plating solution must be moved slightly to prevent bubbles forming and ensure complete coverage.

Two of the cathodes included will sufficiently agitate most solutions however if further agitation is required a magnetic agitator is available upon special request.

A jig ( or ) is recommended to hold jewellery items in place, though copper wire can also be used as it does not react with the solutions.

This unit is ideal for electroplating small jewellery pieces. The number of items you can plate depends on how many fit on your jigs or in the solution.

Expansion units () can be added to either side of the main unit, enabling the use of additional plating solutions simultaneously. However, all units will share the rectifier from the main unit.
