Description

High quality steel bench block from Durston – also known as a ‘flat plate’, ‘flat stake’ or ‘swage block’.

Made from steel, this is a general purpose tool. Use with a mallet or hammer to flatten metal, or to act as a hard plate against a piece of metal for texturing or punching.

The surface should be kept clean, as any marks will be transferred to the metal’s surface.

The block itself is ground and polished but has a slightly matt finish.

This steel bench block has a work area measuring 130 x 130 x 19.14mm.
