Busch Carbide Round Cylindrical 1Z-AU Cutting Burr 0.4mm features a round-cut design with a front-running blade for efficient axial penetration. The short cylindrical section behind the rounded front can also be used radially, offering added versatility.

Its slender neck provides excellent visibility of the workpiece, making it ideal for precise tasks, especially when using the smallest size.

This finely detailed tool is perfect for reworking stone settings and carefully breaking off edges. Manufactured from hot isostatically pressed finest-grain carbide, it delivers durability and superior performance on tough jewellery materials such as platinum, titanium, white gold, and jeweller’s steel. The gold-coloured ring on the shank identifies it as part of Busch’s premium AU series.

Each burr’s construction consists of a number of teeth/blades (in a given shape) mounted onto a 2.34mm shank.

The shank fits into the collet/chuck of the drill, and when turned these teeth cut into and remove the surface being worked upon.
