This 1.7mm 14ct Yellow Gold filled oval trace chain with white enamel bead station, also known as a satellite chain, is ideal for showcasing small pendants and charms or wear on its own. Each link measures approximately 2.0mm in length.

This chain is supplied loose, allowing the length and catch type to be customised while helping to reduce metal waste and scrap.

A trace chain, also known as a cable chain, features small, uniform oval or round links connected in a simple, consistent pattern.

A bead station, also known as a satellite chain is a fine chain with small beads spaced evenly along it, creating a light and dotted look.

Gold filled jewellery is also known as rolled gold or gold bonded and is created by mechanically bonding a layer of gold to a layer of base metal – usually brass. The outer gold layer must be at least 1/20 of the overall metal content by weight, and is therefore a much thicker and more durable alternative to gold plating. Unlike gold plated metal, gold filled can be soldered using 9ct gold easy solder.

Please note:

• While soldering, please avoid the white enamel beads if possible and use the laser welder instead.
• Gold Filled chain can be soldered using low-heat soldering techniques, as excessive heat may damage or discolour the bonded gold layer.
• Additionally, this chain features a yellow gold flash plating to help preserve its brightness over time and to cover the solder spots. Please note that harsh cleaning products may remove this plating, as it is a very thin additional layer applied over the gold chain.
