This book of genuine Fine Silver Leaf (999) is ideal for adding brilliant silver highlights to decorative surfaces, jewellery, and craft designs. Each leaf is made from pure silver that has been carefully beaten into an ultra-thin sheet, creating a smooth, reflective finish perfect for detailed and high-end work.

Each delicate sheet lies loosely between specially waxed pages, allowing for easy removal when needed. Due to its extremely fine nature, the leaf should be handled with care using a gilder’s tip or soft brush to prevent tearing or erosion.

Fine silver leaf is especially valued in jewellery making, metal clay, and enamel work, where it creates luminous effects beneath transparent enamels or provides a bright, metallic surface finish. It can also be applied to glass, resin, wood, and ceramic designs to achieve subtle highlights or striking full-surface silvering.

Because silver naturally oxidises over time, finished pieces should be sealed or protected to maintain their brilliant shine.

Please note – this leaf must be picked up and placed and not rubbed onto the surface.

To use this product; pick up the sheet carefully with a gilders tip and place onto the area you want to cover. Using the brush lightly apply to the area. Then use an Agate Burnisher to smooth the leaf to prevent the foil from sticking.

Please note:

• This product is not edible. Not suitable to be touched with bare hands.
• Loose leaf offers precise control for detailed work but is delicate, while transfer leaf is easier and faster to apply on flat or gently curved surfaces.
