Description

Black ruthenium plating solution from Heimerle + Meule is an acidic electrolyte that deposits decorative dark to black layers. The deposited coating is shine-conserving and has a high colour consistency.

Developed by highly qualified specialists, this solution is very easy to handle, therefore achieving a fast and efficient processing result every time.

The maximum layer thickness depending on the level of blackness amounts is between 0.2 and 0.3 micron.

This time saving solution has a high colour stability and offers optimal throwing power. In addition, the layers are deposited in a shine-maintaining manner, minimising clouding.

It is important to read the information sheet before use. Following the outlined procedures are essential for optimal results as additional products and processes are needed.

Instructions for use:

• Tank: PPH tanks only
• Anode: platinised titanium (, ) or mixed oxide ()
• Bath temperature: 65°C
• Exposition time: 2-3 min
• Voltage: 2-2.5 V
• Bath filtration: required (no permanent filtration with activated carbon)
• Add 800ml of Deionised water into a thoroughly cleaned tank
• The solution must be stirred until the chemicals have been dissolved and have fully merged with the water
• The bath is heated to 65°C and the pH-value is checked by an appropriate pH-meter with temperature compensation function

This bath contains acids and must not come into contact with cyanides or cyanide-based solutions.

The chemical must be stored sealed and has a limited shelf life (approx. 2 years after date of manufacturer). Always check the expiry date displayed on the bottle.
