The sticky watchmaker’s friction ball is a tool designed to safely open the backs of watches without damaging the case or the movement inside. It uses friction to grip the watch’s back and allows for easy opening with minimal effort.

How to use it step by step:

• Prep the watch : By placing it on a clean, stable surface, preferably a soft cloth or mat, to avoid scratches.
• Position the friction ball: Take the ball and gently press it onto the back of the watch case, ensuring the ball is covering the entire case back.
• Apply pressure: Hold the watch steady with one hand while using your other hand to rotate for friction ball in an anti-clockwise direction.
• Close the case back: Align the case back with the watch body and press it firmly back into place. When the case back is screwed back on, use the friction ball again to turn it clockwise until it is secured closed.

Before use, always make sure the sticky ball is clean and free from debris. The friction ball works best on metal or smooth case backs.

This watchmaker’s friction ball comes pre-inflated and it measures approx. 65mm.
