Project X .999 Fine Silver Flex Clay can be fired using a torch or kiln, ensuring utmost convenience and flexibility. Its lower firing temperatures make it accessible to a wide range of jewellery makers, eliminating the need for costly equipment.

Even after firing, the flex clay remains remarkably bendable, allowing for versatile designs allowing additional modifications of the final piece.

When air-dried, Project X .999 Fine Silver Flex Clay remains more pliable than standard metal clays, allowing you to bend and wrap dry clay around forms, perfect for intricate construction projects like ring bands and bracelets.

Firing options

• High temperature – 898°C for 30 minutes for the highest hardness and maximum durability
• Low temperature – 600°C for 45 minutes
• Torch firing at high temperature for 2 minutes or longer
• For best results, use a kiln with proper ventilation, ceramic tiles or soldering pads

Please note – Allow the piece to cool down before removing it from the kiln for safety.

Project X .999 Silver Clay has a 24% shrinkage reducing the risk of cracking or distortion of the final piece.

The clay will remain slightly bendable after drying in open air. Dry, open air for at least 30 minutes before proceeding with bending.

Heat at 148°C for 30 minutes before firing the clay to ensure no moisture remains.

• Maintain a waterproof work surface using materials like Teflon or glass
• Avoid using aluminium foil and tools during the crafting process
• Keep unused clay airtight to prevent drying out and revitalize it with a few drops of water or Project X X2O Rehydration Fluid
• Work while clay is soft and malleable or refine after drying

The composition of the silver clay is .999 silver powder (approximately 90%), water and binder. Project X .999 Fine Silver Flex Clay ensures a composition of 99.9% fine silver after firing.

It has a 960°C melting point.

Project X X2O Rehydration Fluid is a revolutionary rehydration solution that outperforms traditional water-based methods. It opens dried binder surfaces, facilitating optimal water penetration, ensuring exceptional performance and convenience.

Instructions for use

• For semi-dry metal clay, add 1 drop of X2O, then add water as needed
• For completely dry clay, add 5 drops per 5 grams of clay, allowing it to penetrate, and then add additional water as required
