Description

Green Agate is a variety of Chalcedony from the Quartz family, easily identifiable by its rich, translucent green colour.

These Green Agates have been treated with a dyeing process to further enhance the deep green tones of the stone.

Green Agate has generally been known as the stone of harmony. Agate is excellent for balancing emotional, physical and intellectual energy and its cleansing properties.

These green agate faceted stones consist of a pack of 20 and are of mixed shapes and sizes.

Agate has a hardness of 6.5-7 on the Mohs scale and a specific gravity of 2.6.

Please note that due to the nature of the stone, each stone is unique so colours will vary and slight natural inclusions are sometimes faintly visible.

Care: As with all gemstones, care must be taken. It is not advised to place agate stones in an ultrasonic, steam cleaner or chemical cleaning solution. Green agate can be easily cleaned with a warm soapy water mix or an untreated cloth.

It is advised to avoid exposing agate to prolonged periods of heat and light.

A slight tolerance of +/- 0.25mm should be expected with these stones and these agates are sold in packs of 20.
