Description

These 14ct Gold Filled Head Pins are ideal for working with beads and other drilled items such as stones or crystals. Beads are threaded onto the head pin and will not slide off the end due to the flat stopper element. The other end of the wire can then be finished with pliers to form a loop, which can then be attached to findings such as jump rings or ear wires for jewellery making.

Gold filled jewellery is also known as rolled gold or gold bonded, is created by mechanically bonding a layer of gold to a layer of base metal – usually brass. The outer gold layer must be at least 1/20 of the overall metal content by weight, and is therefore a much thicker and more durable alternative to gold plating. Unlike gold plated metal, gold filled can be soldered using 9ct or 14ct gold easy solder.
