These 14ct gold filled plain ear wires are a traditional and elegant option for jewellery makers. They’re an easy to use, simple but effective earring finding, keeping the focus firmly on your earring designs.

They feature a decorative bead at one end of the wire, which forms an outward facing loop which your earring designs can be quickly and easily threaded onto. Simply twist the loop open with a pair of pliers and hook your drop earring design onto the wire, before closing the loop again.

Gold filled jewellery is also known as rolled gold or gold bonded and is created by mechanically bonding a layer of gold to a layer of base metal – usually brass. The The outer gold layer must be at least 1/20 of the overall metal content by weight, and is therefore a much thicker and more durable alternative to gold plating.
