Bow Drill

Description

Made from metal and wood, the drill stands about 30cm high and comes unassembled!

Operated by twisting the wooden handle around the centre pole, this in turn twists the cord. Once the cord is sufficiently twisted the wooden handle is moved up and down. This motion rotates the drill bit.

Although this may look complicated it is actually very simple to use and with just a little practice has a good, even drilling action. Jewellery drills, twist drill bits, diamond coated drill bits and rotary burrs can all be used with your bow drill.
