18ct White Gold Palladium White Grain, 100% Recycled Gold

Description

This grain is an alloy of 18ct White Gold with Palladium. 18ct Aa225 Palladium White casting grain is produced using state of the art technology, ensuring your grain provides a consistent and reliable cast each time. Our 18ct Aa225 Palladium white grain has a lower palladium content compared to our NF alloy (ALZ 000) but does offer good fluidity and is nickel free.

It has a casting temperature range of 1150-1175°C, 980-1025°C melting range, flask temperature 550-650°C and a density of 15.8g/cm3. Because of its high melting temperature, reaction with investment can cause gas porosity, so use lowest possible flask temperature. This alloy age hardens, so quench quickly from a dull red heat. Avoid quenching from high temperatures as this can cause cracking.

Please note; due to the low PD content, this grain will not be as white in colour and will require Rhodium Plating.

This product is made using 100% Recycled Gold.
