This 2.0mm wide 14ct Yellow Gold filled paperclip trace chain is ideal for showcasing small pendants and charms or wear on its own. Each link measures approximately 5.5mm in length.

This chain is supplied loose, allowing the length and catch type to be customised while helping to reduce metal waste and scrap.

The paperclip chain also known as the rectangular cable chain or square trace chain features elongated, uniform links that create a sleek, contemporary appearance. Unlike traditional rounded cable chains, its links are stretched into rectangular or oval shapes, giving it a more structured and minimalist aesthetic.

Gold filled jewellery is also known as rolled gold or gold bonded and is created by mechanically bonding a layer of gold to a layer of base metal – usually brass. The outer gold layer must be at least 1/20 of the overall metal content by weight, and is therefore a much thicker and more durable alternative to gold plating. Unlike gold plated metal, gold filled can be soldered using 9ct gold easy solder.

This chain is nickel-free and it is supplied without a UK hallmark due to being provided in loose form.

Please note:

• Gold Filled chain can be soldered using low-heat soldering techniques, as excessive heat may damage or discolour the bonded gold layer.
• Additionally, this chain features a yellow gold flash plating to help preserve its brightness over time and to cover the solder spots. Please note that harsh cleaning products may remove this plating, as it is a very thin additional layer applied over the gold chain.
